Aimed at paying housing or transportation leases for undergraduate students of low economic means.

Requirements: to have enrolled at least 11 credits, not to have a disciplinary sanction in force, not to exceed the maximum number of academic periods to be taken at the regional headquarters, in accordance with the corresponding study plan.

Internships correspond to support work that undergraduate students can perform, in the administrative units.

Requirements: first level passed, GPA 3.2, no other assistantship, not having been sanctioned. Pay: 1 smmlv per semester for 120 hours of work.

Distinguished Students

A discount on the base tuition value that can be 25%, 50%, or 100% is applied to students who obtain the best averages of the academic program in which he/she is enrolled.

When a parent has several children simultaneously pursuing face-to-face or distance learning academic programs at any of the regional campuses or central campus of the UIS, he/she will be entitled to the following discounts on the value of tuition fees:

According to current provisions, the Superior Council established a social welfare system for UIS employees and their beneficiaries: spouse or permanent partner, sons and daughters of UIS employees enrolled in undergraduate, academic, administrative and social projection programs of the University.

The university grants a subsidy of 90% of the tuition and in return, the student agrees to work a total of 32 semester hours per semester in academic or administrative work according to the needs of the requesting academic administrative unit, without establishing any employment relationship.

STIMULUS FOR

Sport Participation

This discount applies to those students who participate in national sports events endorsed by ASCUNDEPORTES or by the Federations of each sport and who obtain a gold medal, an exemption of 100% of the base value of the tuition, 90% for those who obtain a silver medal and 80% for those who obtain a bronze medal. The exemption will be maintained during the term in which they keep the TITLE of the sport recognition.

Students who participate in the different electoral processes by exercising their right to vote receive a 10% discount on the base tuition fee.

This financial tuition reimbursement process allows students who present changes in their family’s socioeconomic dynamics to request a study of their urgent situation in order to obtain a temporary or definitive discount in the base tuition amount, or in certain cases, to change the settlement factor.

Those students who excel in critical subjects may belong to one of the academic support programs of the SEA-MIDAS program in order to support students in their academic process. These tutorials are assigned on a semester basis according to the number of hours that each tutor has available for a value of $8.333/hour.

Its purpose is to establish measures for the care, assistance, follow-up and referral of gender-based violence committed in any space, physical or virtual, in the Institution or outside it, within the framework of mission activities.

This protocol will be activated when faced with acts of gender-based violence, understanding that these are all those acts based on sex, gender identity or sexual orientation, which effectively or potentially result in affectation, suffering, damage or death, as well as threats to cause such results, as well as threats to cause such results.
